On June 15, 2000 at 11:42 a.m. at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi your eyes opened, taking your first breath and greeting your world. You are a true miracle from the very beginning and a real little fighter. You were born at 31-32 weeks gestation and already have conquered immeasurable hurdles. You had a rough beginning but God's plan unfolds one moment at a time. During a routine cat scan due to your prematurity a disorder was diagnosed...lobar holoprosencephaly. Such big words for such a little man. This just proves that God does create miracles...and blesses us all. From the love of your birth mother...no greater love than that...you were placed for adoption. Our prayer is we can match this love and the love of the hospital staff, the agency and foster parents who held you so dearly and gave you your initial care and love. You entered our hearts long before you entered our arms. From the first phone call we knew God's plan for you and our family. Sean Michael Tolin, our little man, came home to Michigan in our arms to waiting squealing siblings on Sept. 23, 2000. You are a true testimony of God's love and we are the chosen, honored family to be your forever family while on His earth. Sean you continue to amaze ALL with your daily accomplishments. Sean is entering 1st grade at Ubly Elementary School this fall. You now have a new diagnosis to add to your alphabet and that is Aspergers. You continue to amaze us daily. Sean Michael we just want to let you know how loved, wanted and long awaited you truly are. God's little miracle...our son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew to love and cherish with each moment we have. We love you and pray God's guidance with the responsibility He has given us....YOU. love, mommie, daddy and your family

Below is the poem my mommie wrote for me when she found out I was coming home!

SEAN MICHAEL TOLIN...our little miracle.

i was doing the things every mommie does when i received a call,
a voice asked are you seated to brace in case you fall?
the excitement, love and tone of the voice,
i could tell it reflected a decision, major life choice.
yes it was debbie and our son was born,
our special little man we've longed for to come home.
told he is beautiful, gorgeous but special of course,
he is ours, we need info, contacts not looking back...no remorse..
baby michael i am told is your name,
sean michael tolin is what awaits you little man.... no game.
you are our long awaited for son from above,
God's special gift to share on earth to give care and love.
you have fought from day one and each day thereon,
for the time we meet face to face, not just in our hearts, son.
a very special little boy is waiting to come home,
mommie, daddy, siblings, grandparents a FAMILY....is the outcome.
so tiny and new and just meeting the world one day at a time,
just want you to know we are here to hold you, love you...ours and mine.
now we sit here in a whole different light,
figuring out what is needed and planning airflight.
we love you and want you to know just how much,
and give thankful praise to all involved in uniting the Tolin bunch.
